Progress Report: 8.26.22

Grasshopper Family,

I know it may seem repetitive, but this was another incredible week. Significant milestones!

Our first pictures show the team preparing our first drying room for HARVEST! We are going to start harvest NEXT WEEK! We will start with our indoor plants, which look AMAZING. That is Lukas in the suit with the respirator. He is spraying down the room for a deep disinfecting cleaning. 

The addition on Building 2 is coming along nicely. The concrete floor is done. Now we just need to complete the buildout and it will be ready for our outdoor harvest. This additional space will be critical this year and we are excited to use it!

Let's talk about the indoor harvest for a moment. We are VERY excited to kick-off our harvest with the indoor plants. This is going to be a huge milestone for Grasshopper Farms. Every single one of our strains are being grown inside and outside. We will be one of the first to have a head-to-head comparison of premium flower that is genetically identical. We will participate in the conversation by analyzing the lab reports, the look, the smell, and the use/smoke test. This is a critical conversation in this incredible industry and we are excited to be a part of it.

Von's domain is starting to look cleaned out...because that is exactly what is happening! We are almost out of all of our 2021 material! Check out our pre-roll tubes! Very few people use green tubes and we have not seen anyone else use purple tubes. Most are glass, white, or black. And every single retailer buying our pre-rolls is selling out FAST. 

The latest round of mother plants are looking incredible!

Andrew brought his mini-bike to the property. It is quite the farm commuter vehicle! The team put flags on it so you can see it as it goes around the farm. 

You will see a picture of some folks who came and toured the farm. These guys live all over the US. They are gamers. They found us online and asked if they could come take a tour when they came together in Michigan...and they had a blast. In fact, we had several tours this week. One was a nice retired couple who was just driving by. It was their last day of vacation and they asked if they could have a tour...and at the end they said it was the highlight of their entire vacation. We are honored to be a part of their vacation. We had another gentleman who stopped by...who built the largest grow in Nevada! He was so impressed and did not want to leave. He was SO happy and is absolutely welcome to come back anytime he wants. 

Von, Leah, Bret, and Hilary all attended the Blues'd and Infused cannabis music festival this past Saturday and took pictures with the masterminds of the event - Mel and Nancy. This was an epic event with Jim Belushi and Dan Aydroyd! 

Our team is incredibly dedicated. There are many evenings and weekends when the team is working at the farm. And, sometimes, they are working off the farm as well. Check out this picture of Von, Caroline, and Kayla meeting to get some very important work done!

This was the last week for our amazing interns - Victor and Max. Both were amazing. Both added incredible value. And now they will return to their respective studies...and hopefully come back when they wrap up!

Plant One (and all of her sisters) looks absolutely amazing. Healthy. Beautiful. Big.

We are going to have three days of Industry Partner Tours the week of September 12th. We are really excited for this event because this will be another opportunity to bring retailers out to the farm and show them our plants. Touring the farm makes an incredible impact and doing that with our retail partners is an exciting opportunity. 

We are going to have our next OPEN HOUSE! We will advertise in the local papers and online, just like we did last year. The open house will be on Saturday, September 17th from 12pm to 4pm. Have you been looking for an excuse to come visit? This is it! Come on out and join us! You will absolutely LOSE YOUR MINDS. That's a promise. 

The sunrises and sunsets impress every single day and Matt's drone shots from this week look amazing. 

We are a week away from starting our harvest and less than a month from being in full swing with our outdoor harvest. Long days are coming. Tough days are coming. 

And our Grasshopper Farms team is ready to CRUSH it!
