Progress Report: 6.16.23

Grasshopper Family,

What a week!

Our indoor turn is in place! Lukas and Shawn are so happy to take these indoor areas and are getting them ready to be our first harvest of 2023. The plants look beautiful and are ready!

Compliance is a HUGE part of what we do. Von is showing us some of the work it takes to keep track of every - single - plant. There is no margin of error. You are either right or wrong.

And, we are right.

I was BLOWN AWAY with the progress the team has made with the outdoor expansion. This work is so seamless that I almost missed what was existing and what was new. This speaks to two aspects of the team and farm. One, the initial build was done right. Two, the new areas were done right.

Awesome.

All of the plants are set in the existing areas and the new areas are almost complete now as well!

As transplanting continued, more of us got to jump in....including me! This was (somehow) my first opportunity to transplant one of our plants outside! I got to transplant a Zookies plant. Adam and Lukas also go in the mix. We also had two visitors who were really excited for us and wanted to learn more who were able to transplant as well. Everyone has the opportunity to be a part of what we do!

We don't charge consulting fees. We help everyone. We pay it forward. We believe a rising tide helps all boats. These two were very grateful for that philosophy. I truly believe there is plenty of business for anyone who wants to run a viable business. Let's do it...together!

Clint's daughter joined us this week. She was hard at work inside...but then got outside on a four wheeler! She is so adorable.

WE ARE OPERATIONAL IN COLORADO!

What?! Yup. That happened.

You might remember when Aaron and I took a trip out to Colorado to assess a potential opportunity. It took a while and I was not sure it would happen this year. But, in the 11th hour...it happened! We hired Chris (a seven year commercial market veteran of the largest outdoor farm in Colorado and third generation cannabis farmer from Humboldt, CA), Rob, and Donnie. This is an existing farm with an experienced team. We will learn from them. They will learn from us. We will all succeed together...as Grasshopper Farms. Check them out in these pictures!

But wait, there's more.

A wonderful woman, Jamie, from Minnesota found us online and reached out through our website. She had just been awarded a medical license in Minnesota and wanted to learn more. We chatted a few times, always helping anyone who wants to learn. Jamie decided to make the drive out during my last visit to the farm. She was so impressed with the operation and team that she said she did not want to learn to be her own company, she wanted to be Grasshopper Farms Minnesota. We agreed to chat on Zoom. Between her visit and our Zoom meeting, Minnesota legalized! I met with Jamie and Seth and they said they were excited and committed to being Grasshopper Farms Minnesota. Check out this awesome picture of Jamie, Seth, their three kids, their dog, AND their first plant!

Once again, we had a lot of visits and tours this week. People were really impressed and complimentary. One group is building a cannabis resort and wants to partner with us.

We are sticking to our mission. We are maintaining discipline. We are focused on quality and consistency. And, most of all, we are committed to supporting each other - as a team who cares about each individual.

We went from one to four states in a matter of weeks. This was not forced. This was not rushed. This is staying true to ourselves and accepting opportunities (the right opportunities) with gratitude and kindness.

I hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day weekend.
