Grasshopper Family,

We did it!

What a year. We started sales of our first (2021) harvest in January of this year. We worked hard to bring 17 strains to the Michigan market. We kept developing another 13 strains. We continued to work to find quality industry partners and develop deep and meaningful relationships in this finicky market.

Sales started slow. Very slow. As they should with a new company and new product.

And then the bottom of the market fell out. It dropped to the bottom and then dug a hole even deeper. Businesses freaked out and dug that hole even deeper.

But we, at Grasshopper Farms, found our footing. We centered ourselves in strong proven business practices. We embraced certain words to guide us: patience, consistency, quality, teamwork.

It was hard. Very hard. There were questionable times. Difficult, even.

But I knew. I was certain. I had no question or doubt.

Patience. Consistency. Quality. Teamwork.

We continued sales of our 2021 harvest through growing our 2022 crop. Ironically, or not so ironically, we sold out of our 2021 flower at the same time we started our 2022 harvest. These signs are not so coincidental.

We then brought our 2022 flower to market and found that we had entered a new era of Grasshopper Farms. We had demand. We had support. We had made a name for ourselves. We went from entering the market with selling 58 pounds of flower in January to selling 1,501 pounds in November. And, we are already over 2,000 pounds in December and had our first $1MM month.

We are grateful.

We are blessed.

Christmas was amazing for our team. One got some personalized GHF gear. Another got some Canna Boss socks. Von and Lia even welcomed new puppies into this world...on Christmas. It was a blessed day, for sure.

Caroline is taking charge on bringing our compliance/fulfillment management to the next level. Caroline spent time serving our country as a commissioned officer in the United States Army. She went to West Point. Her specialty? Logistics. We are in VERY good hands.

New Jersey. Check out the pictures of our mother room! Things are progressing nicely in New Jersey. We are psyched. We are excited.

We will wrap up the last update of 2022 with a few pictures outside. The weather broke, after that horrendous storm that took the entire nation by...err...storm. The snow is melting. And grass (the other kind) is reaching for the sun.

This has been an incredible year.

We entered (what turned out to be) one of the most challenging markets. We found our footing. We are and will continue to be one of the foundational companies of the Michigan market. We will take our proven methodology to New Jersey and beyond.

We are grateful.

We are blessed.

We are Grasshopper Farms.
