8.15.2025: Honoring Donnie—A Legacy of Purpose, Passion, and Togetherness
Grasshopper Family,
This week’s update is not about sales, harvests, or market trends. This week is about a man who embodied everything we strive to be.
One week ago, we lost Donnie—a cornerstone of our Colorado team and a cherished member of the entire Grasshopper Farms family. He was a positive force in every sense, bringing unmatched energy to his work and his life. Many mornings, he would send a picture of the sunrise—reminding us all to start each day with gratitude, hope, and purpose.
From the moment I met Donnie, I knew he was special. He had deep knowledge of our industry and an unshakable understanding of the hard work it takes to succeed. He lived by his values, expected the best from himself and those around him, and always made time for people—giving his complete attention to whomever he was with.
Donnie never pretended the road was easy. He knew this industry is unpredictable, that success takes more than a couple of seasons—it takes years of persistence. But he was all in. Always. Because he believed in what we are building, and more importantly, in the people building it.
And Donnie did it all together with others. He was a community man—lifting spirits at the farm, connecting outside of work, and always making the people around him feel like family.
Donnie will be missed more than words can say. But I believe his energy is still here, urging us forward. His legacy is not just in what he built—it’s in how he lived.
So today, as we remember him, let’s honor his life by living the way he did:
Spend time—deliberately—with the people you love.
Do the things that bring you joy.
Work hard for the goals that matter.
Lift the people around you.
We will honor him. We will mourn him. We will celebrate him.
And we will succeed—always with him.
