Grasshopper Family,
Happy Friday to each of you!
I had the honor of spending this week with our Michigan team as they prepared for tomorrow’s annual open house (12:00pm – 4:00pm). The energy on the farm is electric, and for good reason—our team is gearing up for what they believe will be one of our best harvests yet. Year after year, they continue to learn, adapt, and improve. That dedication—season after season—is what makes this team, and this farm, truly extraordinary.
We began the week with distinguished visitors, Richard and Andrea, who traveled from New Jersey to meet the team and tour the farm. Throughout the week, I was able to connect individually with our people, participate in team meetings, and welcome several highly experienced industry guests. Their feedback was powerful: Grasshopper Farms is among the most organized, methodical, and premium-producing outdoor farms in the United States. That recognition belongs to our team and the incredible discipline they bring to their craft.

There were lighthearted moments too. During our weekly Amish farm donut run, Adam discovered a jam blend called “Traffic Jam”—a mix of all leftover flavors, rebranded with creativity and humor. A simple reminder that innovation is often about making the most of what we have and finding new ways to create value.
Meanwhile, in New Jersey, we achieved a major milestone: activation in the state compliance system. This means we can now bring plants on site in the coming weeks. The team is officially clear to proceed—an exciting step forward.
This week also carried deep emotion. On Thursday, the Colorado team honored Donnie’s life and legacy with his family at his funeral ceremony. Across the entire company, we paused together at 10:30am MT to remember him and Chris shared a sunset picture from that evening. The outpouring of support from within Grasshopper Farms and beyond has been overwhelming. Donnie left us with a clear example of how to live and work—with grace, gratitude, hard work, and positivity. His energy will remain a guiding force for all of us.
