Progress Report:5.24.24
Grasshopper Family,
WHAT A WEEK!
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending time with the Colorado team. They are doing an amazing job with the changes they are incorporating for the 2024 season. They sent an updated picture of the field....and it looks GLORIOUS!
And now I was able to spend this week with the Michigan team!
As we move over to Michigan, we start with our farm cats! They are really cute, very friendly, and are always keeping a watchful eye on the farm!
Ivan also found some eggs! Probably killdeer eggs.
The next two pictures feature innovation! Battling the dust is a snap with the road watering system the team built. Simple. Effective.
We had AMAZING weather this week. The team did a great job continuing the work to prepare the field and you can see it in these pictures!
Check out the plants inside. AND....check out the plants outside! Yup! The first of the plants moved outside to the shaded hoop houses this week and will be transplanted into their final pots next week! EPIC MILESTONE!
A couple members of the national GrowGeneration team visited the farm this week. They are experts in this industry, by any measure and/or definition. They gave us VERY high praise for our operation. We also had the largest vertical operator in Michigan visit and one of the largest manufacturers...and both had the same feedback. All of these meetings were incredible and started discussions that might pave the way to some really interesting things in the future.
Hilary, Bret's wife, did it again! This time, she applied her artwork to a ceiling tile that was presented to the team at the Sugar Bowl oj bingo night after the team signed it. We are so happy with our community opportunities.
We had a Michigan company meeting and enjoyed Erbelli's pizza...gratuitous picture of Adam picking up the pizza. Thanks, Adam!
Investing in our team is our top priority. And this week we had Danny Bader walk the team through some vision and productivity work, the same workshop the Colorado team went through a few weeks ago. It was GREAT!
I wanted to share a couple pictures of the moon from this week when I was out running at 4:30am. I hope you got to enjoy it as well.
The last picture is of me and Tom...the former owner of the property. He wanted to stop by to shake hands, and it was so very appreciated.
Our daily message today highlighted patience.
Patience.
Time.
Action.
Consistency.
Patience.
The work is worth it.
We are on our way!

This industry beckons us to employ aggressive patience. It is not just a good idea. It is absolutely critical.
As we head into this Memorial Day weekend, I hope you all find yourselves enjoying a safe weekend with family and friends...a luxury we all enjoy because of those who fought and gave their lives for...freedom.
Thank you all for your continued support!
