Happy September!

We are only a few weeks away from our 2024 outdoor harvest!

The Colorado team shared some amazing shots of the amazing 2024 vintage they have on hand! And, more incredible sunrise shots! They will be starting their outdoor harvest before Michigan. They have been meeting and are ready to execute! We are VERY excited for this harvest! Last year, they had to take what was given to them and make it work. This year, they had a little more input and control. And it DEFINITELY shows!

The Michigan team has some incredible shots as well! I was at the farm this week and I can say this is the BEST I have ever seen from our farm. AND, that is the consensus of the entire team!

One of our marketing partners, Bryna, was on site too! She agrees! AND, she was able to participate in Bingo night and the nightly team fishing. Yup. Nightly. Ricky has created an AMAZING team boating and fishing experience.

Here is an article outlining the confusion created out of the 2018 Farm Bill that caused a lot of the loopholes. There is a ton of confusion and the folks who leverage loopholes have found their ceiling. States and the federal agencies are aware and now taking action to correct this issue. It is government, so it will take time. But, it is being handled.

That being said, we hosted the head of the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) at our farm today! In fact, I just got done with the tour. Director Brian Hanna spent two hours with us and gave us the highest praise that can be shared. Also, he was able to speak to the illicit market issues that we are all experiencing. His department is working very hard to address it in a way that paves a business conducive path for those of us who are following the rules.

We are now in September. Round nine. The entire company is pumped about harvest. We are ready.

Our daily message was a simple reminder...what is common sense is not always common practice. So, the reminder was essential and appreciated.

And delivered by our youth....our future.

As a side note...

I wrote this while sitting in the airport. A gentleman sitting next to me loved my shirt and asked me about our company. It turns out that he has stage four prostate cancer and is headed to Spain, France, and Portugal. And, he has been visiting as many countries and creating as many experiences and memories as he can.

He is an example.

We need to focus on the things that make sense.

We need to support each other.

We need to employ and deploy kindness.

We need to make peace with the rest.
