Progress Report: 9.1.23
Grasshopper Family,
The 2023 Open House was a HUGE success! We had so many people from out of state this year. Which was GREAT! We are honored to share what we are doing as an outdoor cannabis farm operator.
There were a bunch of pictures posted on social. Here is a video posted on Facebook.
Madison and I headed out to Colorado to meet with the team and boy are we impressed! This team has been operating in the Colorado commercial space for over seven years. They also previously worked for the largest outdoor cannabis farm in Colorado, which was also the largest in the United States. Not only do they have amazing sunrises and sunsets, they are absolutely crushing it at the farm.
The plants look great and they have been cleaning and servicing the equipment to the extent that it looks brand new!
Chris was also able to take a great picture of the blue moon event!
We are getting ready in Michigan for the biggest lift yet. We have a trailer for some contingency space. The pre roll machine is being moved to storage. The dry rooms are getting some final adjustments.
And look at these outdoor plants. They look amazing. I mean, we always thought so. But, the open house attendees also blessed us with the same observations.
Mark (of Mark's Bed) also stopped by to give us his assessment. He is very impressed.
We had a beehive split in the area! If you have seen this, you know what I mean. Lots of bees flying to a new location to wait for the scouts to find the new home for the hive. This happens when an existing hive grows to a certain capacity and they have to split to prevent overcrowding. Well, that happened and they parked at the bottom of The Lodge. We are not sure if that was a temporary stop or the permanent location. But, we did not wait to find out. We contacted a local beekeeper and honey purveyor who came out and moved the colony to a box.
The bees were saved. Awesome.
We met a cannabis farmer from Puerto Rico when we were at Benzinga Florida. He sent me a text this morning of a picture with him and his GHF tumbler. He is coming to visit the farm next week!
We will wrap up the update this week with a group shot as we finished the open house.
It really was an amazing event. We received a lot of positive feedback and gave two interviews since then.
We are honored.
We are grateful.
We are Grasshopper Farms.
