Progress Report: 6.13.25
Grasshopper Family,
WE PASSED OUR NEW JERSEY CRC INSPECTIONS.
I mean, hey there. How are you doing? Happy Friday.
;)
Seriously, though. We have had to work through this for three years. This was a dynamic that was not unique to Galloway or Grasshopper Farms. No one saw this coming. It was a dynamic of how the state rolled out their initial regulations. They were all well intended, but had some unanticipated ramifications that were realized in the form of slow process and delays at the local levels.
BUT...
We maintained patience, consistency, and worked hard. This is the formula that got us across the finish line where so many others failed or gave up.
The state inspection was so successful that we were approved with ZERO notes or discrepancies. In their eyes, we are absolutely the gold standard.
We also met with the police and fire departments. More approvals and positive support from both. We are now eligible to receive our business license from the township, which is scheduled for the Tuesday township council meeting.
And we are PUMPED.
Meanwhile, a much quieter and equally as important approval process has been proceeding in Colorado. The team made significant progress and we should be all wrapped up in the coming weeks.
And they have been doing it with rattlesnakes on site!
I had the honor of spending the day with the Michigan team on Wednesday. We had several meetings and they all went VERY well. The farm looks great. The team is on fire.
Adam crushed more vendor days as well! He is unstoppable!
Jason made an amazing sticker and Ricky put it on his boat - the same boat he hosts the team on fishing trips after work!
Paul shared a "Mary over time" set of photos...check them out here!
We were all blessed to see the Strawberry Moon on Wednesday morning as well. Gorgeous!
A cannabis enthusiast from Northern California named Dart discovered Grasshopper Farms while visiting the Midwest and was so impressed with our products that he reached out to request branded merchandise. After a few months of keeping in touch, we were able to fulfill his request through our new merchandise partner — just in time for his birthday. Dart was thrilled with the items he received and shared his appreciation, noting that even his wife loved them.

Our week started at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Finance conference in Chicago this past Sunday. Adam, Caroline, Madison and I continued our mission to tell our story - and it went well. There was a shift at this conference. Instead of people asking who we are and what we do, they already knew. They invited us to contribute to new and exciting venues. They asked for our help and advice.
I had the opportunity to participate in a few sessions. Here is one of the sessions...where my voice was having a hard time! I had no idea Randy Lanier and Jeremy Ortiz were enjoying a great discussion behind me! Those guys are awesome!
Contrary to what might seem like a good use of the Green Room - it is not for utilization of our product. (A reference to the pictures!)
We are becoming a foundational pillar of the industry.
This was a week of HARD WORK, multiple time zones, recognition, approvals, and validation of what we are doing.
The recipe of providing quality and consistency while employing patience, consistent behavior, and working hard is paying off.
I hope you have an absolutely amazing Friday and Father's Day weekend!
