Progress Report: 4.7.23

Grasshopper Family,

We have had a mixed bag of weather this week...with rain and wind on one side and sunshine on the other.

The team has been focusing the majority of their time and effort on prepping the field, pre rolls, biomass, and our 2023 generation of plants.

The field got some serious rain, as we all heard on the news across the nation with the storms and tornadoes. Only rain for us and these areas of standing water are normal at this time of year.

There are so many aspects to prepping the field. We shared one of these tasks in a previous email, cleaning the emitter/spider lines. Bret fashioned a cleaning station for these items, which you can see in action in these pictures.

I know we shared the fuel tanks last week, but we had to share them again this week...in use! Again, this might not seem like a big deal...but, it is. This makes fueling SO much easier and efficient.

As we move inside we see the team doing an incredible job with our plants. These are the mother plants that will provide the clones which will eventually go outside. Sometimes we get the question about one room not having rolling benches while the others do. That is because we use the space without the rolling benches (Grow 1) for several types of operations. This is a common factor throughout the farm. We use each space for as much as we can. Efficiency is part of our recipe for success.

Pre rolls. So, you remember from last week that we have a little more effort and time before we can launch our multi strain pre rolls. So, we went to market this week with our single strain pre roll tins. With VERY LITTLE effort, Adam sold 5,240 five pack tins. ALSO, I received a phone call from an industry expert in Colorado who received one of our tins. He shared the look and feel with people and everyone was very impressed. He then sampled the pre rolls with several folks and the feedback was even better. None of these folks have or feel any obligation to give us warm fuzzy feedback. All of these folks are industry experts. They were literally blown away with the product. This Colorado expert feedback and the initial feedback in Michigan is very encouraging. We are very excited to see what happens in the next month.

Flower sales is booming. Biomass sales is booming. Compliance and fulfillment are booming. And the planning continues. Paul and Clint are here doing a ton of planning and Shawn is doing some scanning for compliance related work.

Adam and I were interviewed in a podcast this week! We were also featured in another article this week!

Our story is getting more traction. People are taking note. I had people in Minnesota and Indiana reach out to me because they want to start working on developing farms to be ready for when their states deploy a commercialized market, and want to be GHF locations. Regardless of what we do, people want to join us. We are being recognized as having disrupted the outdoor market. People are starting to emulate (imitate even) us. Adam even found another outdoor farm with a website that is pretty much our model.

We take that as a compliment and welcome them with open arms. There is plenty of business for those who want to (and can) run a business.

I hope you all have a wonderful close to your week and a wonderful Easter weekend.

You are amazing.
