Progress Report: 2.10.23

Grasshopper Family,

Where are the days going? Where are the weeks going?

We are continuing to retire the amazing mother plants as we welcome the new generation of clones. I will never tire of this process. We had a few questions about why we retire mother plants instead of taking them to flower and harvest. I get where the question comes from. This would be feasible with a small grow, most likely personal. At this scale, it doesn't make sense for our SOPs and COGs. Now, that does not mean that we are doing it right or wrong. It just means that we are doing a way that works for us.

This is one of the dynamics of a newer commercial industry. There are a lot of right ways to do things.

The pre-roll program is close. So close. The team has been fine tuning. The packages look amazing. AND....Adam handed out some samples to retailers today. I literally just got off the phone with him. Retailers are losing their minds. This is different. This is quality. And they all want them. We are about to change the pre-roll market.

The team continues to manage the flower demand - more quality control, packaging, and fulfillment. Yes, I have listed this every single week. And I will list it every week that we are doing it. This is to share the understanding of this lift with each of you. It's easy to say that something is happening. But, these things need to be shared with an element of their intensity and totality. I actually had a question from someone in New Jersey, asking what we do during the months when we are not growing and when harvest is over. The post harvest work is a HUGE lift. It lasts a very long time. (If you do it correctly.)

It is a lot.

New Jersey! We met with more residents and council members this week. All were productive meetings. We also met with Stockton University who has an interest in partnering with us! This is huge. They have a cannabis program and want to have their students work as interns at our farm. Awesome. The amount of community support is starting to swell. People. Businesses. Organizations. And, now we may have the support of the number one employer in Galloway Township - Stockton University.

Don't get me wrong, we have opposition too. That is normal. Especially at this stage in the licensure timeline. But, this is starting to feel the same as what we experienced in Michigan. And we have done a damn fine job there.

Working with the community is a core competency to what we do.

The final pictures are a plate of cookies that Clint made and Olivia's dog, Cooper, who wasn't feeling well and came to spend the day at the farm. He was a welcome visitor who spent the day with Adam and Kayla.

Family.

I received a call from Scott's Turf. Yeah, that happened. We have met twice. They are very impressed with what we have built. They have taken notice that we are doing things differently. I also met with two gentlemen who score cannabis businesses and facilitate deals and partnerships. They also gave us high praise and said that we are on track to being one of the foundational companies of the United States. The United States. These meetings and evaluations were shared at a time when Curaleaf announced they were closing operations in three states.

We are disciplined. We are clear on our mission. Our product is widely accepted.

And our people are AMAZING. Second to NONE.

This isn't easy. But, that's exactly why we do it.

We are farmers.

We are Grasshopper Farms.
