Progress Report: 11.5.21

Grasshopper Family,

Another week of firsts!

We had two new family members start this week! Kayla joined the team and is grabbing hold of all that is accounting. Steve came on for a three week period to provide some help (and relief!) for a team that has been working non-stop! Both have crushed it this week.

We had our first indoor harvest! The plants came down and were processed before being hung in Dry Room 5, where they are now. They look great! Not only are they beautiful, but they are going to allow us to have an amazing conversation that I haven't heard - the exact same strain from the exact same mother plant and grown at the exact same time - some inside and some outside. In a world of wondering about the differences between indoor and outdoor - we will OWN this conversation!

This is important because this is a conversation that needs to happen. Quality should be based on what we make, not where we make it. Unless it is made at Grasshopper Farms. *wink*

This is also the week when we finished harvesting plants outside! On Halloween of all days! Yup. You heard it here. We are done harvesting the premium sun-grown flower for retail consumers! Miguel is holding the last of the harvested branches. That means the final dry rooms are hung and we are done cutting the plants, trimming the branches, and hanging the branches. Now, we are taking down dry rooms and debucking - the process of removing the flower from the branches. And this is a massive effort. Check out the pictures!

Another first - we have two companies harvesting the remainder of the plants for biomass. This is a HUGE step because while biomass is not our priority, this helped us feel good about not allowing all of the beautiful material to go to waste. This also promotes our second priority - industry partners working together.

As we shift gears on the work, so does our focus on compliance. Matt took an incredible shot of Caroline...who is deep into our compliance work, assisted by Von. It is NOT easy keeping track of all of this. And it isn't easy when we start sending things to other companies.

But, Caroline has it covered with Von. We are lucky to have them both.

One last first - one of our tests came back at 27.8% THC!

The sunrises are still incredible. The sunsets as well. And the clear moonlit evening skies make for a beautiful view.
