Happy November!!
November? Yup. November. Or, in some circles - Movember.
That's a wrap! The big lift of harvest is complete! There are many components to harvest in any industry. The biggest of the lift is when we are taking branches from the plants outside. This is when we have the most people on site. This is when we work the longest days. We start cutting and can not stop until the room is filled. And that work ended this past Tuesday, November 1st.
We had incredible weather during our harvest this year. Many of you remember last year. We had to do it all in two weeks and the weather was pretty bad! We had six weeks this year and the weather was pretty darn encouraging.
Celebrating milestones is important in any company and culture. And we are no different. We pause. We acknowledge. We take a moment to take in the accomplishment. We did a wrap up lunch last year and we just did it again this year. The entire team (full-time and seasonal) stopped work at 4pm, gathered near our buildings, ate tacos, enjoyed beverages, donned harvest 2022 t-shirts, and recounted the past six weeks. The picture of the husband/wife team providing the tacos are cousins of one of our employees and one of our investors. Family, through and through.
We marked the milestone. Deliberately. With intention.
Halloween had Grasshopper Farms representation on a vendor day....Adam got it done! He took a few pictures of the setup and got one of some creative artwork made with some lighters. Adam also contributed to the skyline shots this week during his sales travels to the Upper Peninsula.

We made it to a featured article in the largest distributed cannabis news agency! Again! We are honored to have a second article and will do our best to keep contributing to the educational aspects of this emerging industry as the world goes through incredible change management of legalization.
Are you ready for the time change? It's happening this weekend! This is the good one...an extra hour of sleep after our phones change (or when you change your clock) BACK one hour. Don't be that person who shows up an hour early! Instead, enjoy more daylight in the morning. Yeah, I'm a morning person. :)
New Jersey is ON TRACK! I met with folks in the regulation space this week and was assured that not only should we expect the next set of full approvals, but people are now getting excited to be a part of a ribbon cutting of the FIRST outdoor cannabis farm in the state of New Jersey. This struck a chord with me because I think this life is all about people. And, people understanding what we are doing and getting excited feel incredibly rewarding. Again, this opportunity to be one of thirtyseven cultivators and the only outdoor farm for the first year is an incredible opportunity.
Investments for New Jersey are coming in fast and furious. I have had countless Zoom sessions with interested folks. There has been so much awesome discussion. Please reach out to me soon if you are interested!
The outdoor lift is done. But harvest remains in full force as we continue to process our product inside. Bucking. Trimming. QC. QC. QC. More QC. Packaging. Fulfillment. These things take a LOT of time.
I feel AWESOME. The team is doing GREAT. The work is second to none. Something happens in the Michigan market and we tackle it with precision and confidence.
We ARE Grasshopper Farms.
