Progress Report: 10.6.23
Harvest is here!
And we are harvesting in THREE states! Michigan and Colorado kicked off the full harvest effort on Monday. Both are harvesting our 2023 commercial crop. Minnesota is our CBD license and the first small scale harvest as we prepare for the commercial regulations.
The Michigan team is in full swing. It's a massive effort. The heaviest lift of the year. The team has to carefully assess each strain to determine what to cut, and maybe more importantly, what to not cut and allow to push the final growth to the maximum potential.
Colorado is a little different. The same evaluation needs to happen, but the scale is smaller and allows for more plants to be harvested at once.
Both teams are absolutely crushing it.
Jamie and Seth have completed the outdoor portion of their harvest. It was a lot of work, but incredibly rewarding.
We are also inching closer in New Jersey. We had a critical meeting this past Monday and it was very favorable. We are finally in the home stretch!
Pam, Duane, and Madison set up a Grasshopper Farms booth Stockton University's Career Fair for the second year. They had an amazing booth with digital applications. The interest was high and the introductions were fantastic.
We had two more articles come out this week! (And then a third!)
The first was an incredible article about the benefit of recognizing cannabis agriculturally. This article was awesome because the reporter liked this topic when she was interviewing us for a previous article. So, she ran with it and is trying to help people understand the importance and value of farmers being able to incorporate cannabis into their crops. They also published a video in the article.
In the second we were featured with a focus on the croptober phenomenon in this article.
And then it got picked up by another outlet here!

I was invited to speak at the Real Cannabis Entrepreneurs Conference in Newark, New Jersey by the one and only Gary George! It was a great opportunity to speak to aspiring entrepreneurs and share some of the things that have worked for us. We were well received and made some fantastic connections.
