Progress Report: 4.24.2026

Grasshopper Family,

Well, we just enjoyed another 4/20!

The magic of 4/20 is more than an industry event. To us, it is the day when we received our final approval for our first farm and when we brought our first plants on site.

Epic.

It was an undeniable sign from the universe, telling us that we were doing the right thing. And we have honored it ever since.

There are no coincidences.

You may have seen the news about the rescheduling of cannabis.

The DEA, under direction from the Department of Justice, formally moved two categories of cannabis to Schedule III this week. First, FDA-approved drug products containing marijuana. Second, marijuana produced, distributed, or dispensed under a qualifying state-issued medical marijuana license. That is it.

Recreational and adult-use cannabis remains Schedule I, the same federal classification as heroin. Hemp stays unscheduled. One Order. Two parallel universes. Two different federal timelines for the same plant.

So, a step in the right direction, but still a lot of work to be done.

Our Colorado update is slightly different this week. Their pictures are all about the most important thing in anything we do in life - people and relationships. Whether we are seeing the great outdoors with family and friends or coming together for meals at the farm - all about people and relationships.

Family.

The New Jersey team has been working hard to dial in Phase 1 of the farm. This is HARD TO DO. It has up days. It has down days. I am so proud of the team for sticking with it, especially when it seems harder than usual or needs to be.

Tenacity.

Even with the challenges, Colleen shared some incredible pictures of the plants and flower.

Faith.

The Michigan farm team is crushing the field maintenance and configuration. BUT, in addition to the farm activities, 4/20 was going on and Adam was joined by Clint to support 4/20 in several retail locations! They divided and absolutely crushed it.

Clint shared that he was happy and proud of the sheer number of people who showed up just to support Grasshopper Farms!

A frozen dessert made from sweetened fruit juice, purée, or puree, dairy (milk or cream), and a foaming agent like egg whites or gelatin.

What do you call that?

And, maybe more importantly...how do you spell that?

Sherbert? Sherbet?

So, there is a TON of content out there debating this. Well, there is actually no debate. Only a misunderstanding.

The spelling is sherbet. Yes, no second R.

So, we are sharing a couple of our pre roll graphics and a very simple way to remember this nuance in spelling. Thanks to the masterful Bryna!

Kayla shared three different emails we received this week! We hear these things from time to time. The velocity of these comments on social media, shared in person, and via email has been increasing.

Gratitude.

This has been one of the most challenging journeys I have ever traveled. But, I find my way by focusing on the AMAZING people I am blessed to work alongside at Grasshopper Farms.

By focusing on positive intent and supporting each other to success - there isn't anything we can not do.

We are Grasshopper Farms.
