Progress Report: 9.19.2025
Hi Grasshopper Family,
Happy Friday!
As summer transitions to fall, we are also experiencing significant shifts at Grasshopper Farms.
New Jersey is preparing for the arrival of new plants, expected on-site within the next ten days! This is a milestone we've patiently awaited for three years, and we are incredibly excited and ready. Our team is certified, and the rooms are undergoing final preparations.
Meanwhile, Colorado is in full harvest mode, kicking off their season slightly before Michigan, largely due to Mother Nature's influence on the weather. This adaptability to local environments is a key part of our success. We also want to give a special shout-out to the Colorado team for having the top social media post this week, featuring our very own Mayza!
Michigan is primed to follow suit, with harvest expected to begin next week. While we have a target date, we know Mother Nature will ultimately dictate the exact timing. In the interim, the Michigan team has hosted several tours, visitors, and another successful vendor day.

Our brand momentum continues to build, which is a testament to our collective efforts. Developing a strong brand takes time, and our social engagement has truly taken off in recent months. We were especially honored that Adam coordinated a farm tour for students from Western Michigan University.
Finally, we're eagerly anticipating the harvest of Mary and Jane, and we look forward to honoring their journey once complete!
As we contemplate current events and embark on harvest season, I wanted to share an important message:
Have you ever noticed that Google Maps never says you’re going the wrong way?
It simply says - recalculating.
How many times do we encounter situations that don't go according to plan—whether an operation, a conversation, or a goal? When this happens, we have two options: we can succumb to a victim mindset of despair, or we can face it head-on and recalculate.
This "recalculate" approach has been our recipe for success at Grasshopper Farms. While some might get frustrated, angry, or confrontational and assign blame, we choose to assess and recalculate. We have hundreds of examples of this happening since day one.
I'm not suggesting we suppress feelings of upset or sadness; experiencing our authentic emotions is crucial. However, the duration for which we dwell in those feelings is a differentiating factor. As David Goggins teaches: feel it, learn, adapt, move on, and execute. Keep getting up and moving forward.
If there's one industry that absolutely requires this mindset, it's cannabis.
I hope you all have a fantastic (almost) fall weekend!
