Happy 4/22/22!
This has been an incredible week!
A week of incredible milestones, for sure.
The world celebrated 4/20! This is a very important celebratory date for our industry as we continue to push forward with legalization. Which, by the way, is now up to 18 states and territories on the adult use side! We celebrated with our team over lunch. It was a great opportunity to pause and reflect on our blessings.
The Green Ticket giveaway kicked off on 4/20! We have sales. We have entries. And, we will be announcing winners shortly! There is a LOT being published on social media. So, please head to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Get there! Now!
Our second intern started this week....hailing from the University of Massachusetts!! We know that we are blazing a trail on this one!
We started taking clones from our mother plants yesterday! It will take us about two weeks to amass ~8,000 clones that will allow us to then select ~4800 plants that will transition outside for the 2022 season. This is SUPER exciting! We were much later last year because we were waiting on the state. With more time on our side this year, we are blessed and excited! The plants look GREAT! We also did some gender testing on our new genetics and then some sap samples of our mother plants. These are exciting times!!
More vendor days! Adam is CRUSHING vendor days. He has gone live on social media and you can see those videos on Facebook and Instagram!
We know the number one most important aspect of our business - our people. Aaron has been taking people fishing after work and the team has been loving it!!
And the last milestone for this week is something incredible that happened on 4/20/21. That was the day we received our final approvals from the state and started moving plants on property! So, happy one year anniversary!! Receiving this on 4/20 is part of what makes us know we are exactly where we should be.
We are up to sixteen retailers! Adam and Kayla have a VERY hard job in sales! It is one of the hardest. Successful sales requires the ability to endure a ton of no and a random yes. This is especially true when building a new brand in a competitive space. BUT...our customers and consumers are discovering our quality. They are hearing our story. They are getting to know our team. And the feedback has been incredible.
We had more industry visitors this week. Two in particular have been to every grow facility in Michigan and tons in other states as well. Their feedback...incredible facility. They said we are hands down the cleanest facility in the state of Michigan. They said our plants are amazing. They were very complimentary of our team. I will never tire of this feedback.
As we head into the weekend, I find myself excited for next week. The Michigan Reggae by the Riverside is on Saturday, April 30th! This is going to be an event in which the majority of our team will be attending and sharing our story. We will have our booth. We have an exclusive retail partner selling our product. We are supplying a flight of flower for the VIPs. We will be awarding a Green Ticket at the show. And Ky-Mani Marley is headlining! Look, I know we will have another update next Friday before the event. And we will probably have all of the same information. But, we are EXCITED!
