Progress Report: 2.25.22

Grasshopper Family,

This is the last update for February! The second month of 2022! Almost a wrap!

In addition to the continued quality control and packaging...

This week's email has six updates!

New Jersey. They did not announce the list yet. This is VERY common. There really isn't a way to predict when they will release the list of the first 37 licenses. We just have to wait. I still believe this is a longshot for us. But, it's awesome to be in the mix!

Cleaning/Fixing - We built a BEAUTIFUL farm. And we are taking care of it! We take care of the farm area. We take care of our buildings. We take care of our tools. You will see a picture of a foam sanitizing solution we use in spaces as part of our cleaning process. We sweep. We scrub. We clean. And we end with this foam. This happens in all areas where plant or plant material is handled. We also have a nice picture of some fence repair with some quick ingenuity!

Rozin Pressin' - We were recently introduced to a father-son team of processors who love what we are doing and would very much like to add value to Grasshopper Farms. They are awesome people...so we said, "Show us what you got." This does not mean we are moving into processing. It means that we are assessing opportunities. We remain focused and committed to our core competency - premium outdoor flower. But, part of my job is to explore growth opportunities. And, that means meeting, listening, learning, and testing.

We are in TWO MORE RETAIL locations! Iconic in Sturgis and White Flower in Paw Paw received deliveries this week! We are up to 12 locations! I want to be clear on why I am using a lot of exclamation marks. Growing flower and selling it generically as a white label (the retailer puts their name on it) is WAY easier to do. That is not what we are doing. We are building a BRAND. And that means a LOT of work! So, getting into 12 locations at our premium prices is exactly the arc we want to be on. Adam and Kayla are CRUSHING it.

Speaking of retail - we just had our first Vendor Day yesterday! Yup! Adam, Shawn, and Andrew headed to 7 Engines and represented Grasshopper Farms in the BEST way possible with employees and customers! Caroline stopped by as well! The feedback - we were the best vendors they have EVER had! And they are VERY busy and see A LOT of suppliers! We launched differently. We are showing up differently. We are different. We are raising the bar and becoming the example of how things will be done.

Our next convention! Well, it isn't a convention. It is Reggae on the River on April 30th! Ky-Mani Marley (Bob Marley's son) is the headliner! They are expecting around 7,000 people and 300 VIPs. But, wait...there's more. We are going to be supplying the flower to the VIPs! But, wait! There's more! I told the organizers that I wanted to do a Flight of Flower. Yup! So, we are going to pick a handful of strains and present it to each VIP. But, wait...there's more! We are going to work with each retailer who is going to be there to ensure they are SELLING our product as well! I am headed to Michigan next week to meet with each retailer!

It's been a great week.

I feel blessed. I am very grateful.

Have an incredible weekend!
